Can You Believe It?

Christmas is just around the corner and sooner yet is our annual visit from the big guy himself, Santa Claus. He'll be in the studio for some quality time with young and old and a few photo ops too on November 29th and 30th. It's sure to be a lot of fun and the kids love that the real Santa comes to Trevon Baker Photography. Hours are 10am - 4 pm both days. No appointments, no obligation to purchase (but you won't be able to resist)!

Perk of the Week

So I am fortunate to work with my friend Mad Mary on our annual calendar project, "Montana Women in the Trades". Our 2009 calendar will feature a dozen very interesting women from across the state. On this particular day, I photographed Michelle, a flight instructor who is quite beautiful, outgoing, witty and gutsy. I say gutsy because she had me taxi, takeoff, fly the plane and then LAND the plane, never having done so before. She turned the tables and took this shot of me (I retouched the sweat running down my forehead). She was actually a very confident woman... confident in her skill as an instructor and confident in my being a fast learner!

New Exhibit On Display at K.R.M.C.

I was fortunate enough to have 42 large canvas Gallery Wrap images hang in the OB Department of the Kalispell Regional Medical Center recently. It's an impressive display that will hang for years to come. All the images are of newborn babies, pregnant women, young families with newborns, siblings with new baby brother, etc. that I've taken of clients over the past few years. I invite everyone to take a peek at the exhibit anytime you are in the vicinity of the hospital. Some of my favorite images are featured.

Pic of the Week

This spot is one of my favorites in the Flathead Valley.  If I see an interesting sky or the potential for a great sunset, I try to head there and capture whatever God is creating for us at that moment. It's interesting to sit quietly and notice the differences in the colors from season to season, the shapes of the clouds differ as well and the ever encroaching development becomes more difficult to avoid in the viewfinder.

Portrait of the Week

Robin has some incredible eyes and is very photogenic. She disliked being in the studio as her body language showed. We quickly moved outside where she was much more relaxed and the skylight enhanced her eyes much more than studio lighting ever could.

Testimonials

Trevon, I can't tell you how many people took a deep breath when they was the finished poster.  Once again you made my day my friend.  Never did I look so good, Peter too.   The whole look of the picture is very romantic just what I was looking for. The hotel thinks it great too as does the Mall Manager, Meg.  If you want to come to the show let me know and I'll arrange for tickets.  Once again my heartfelt thanks.  Took it to the InterLake today should appear in  a couple of weeks in the Intertainer.

Fondly,  Mary R ( your biggest fan)

Hi Trevon, this is Josh Thomas, I grew up on lake mary ronan, my family has owned and ran Camp Tuffit since 1907. I saw your beautifull photo looking down the docks and I just wanted to take a moment and thank you. I have lived away from Montana for many years and often suffer from a little ehome sickness! It is such a pleasure to see Camp Tuffit at all, but to see it as stunning art and is a true pleasure, I have your image set as my screensaver at work and my clients absolutely adore it, I just wanted to take a minute and let you know how much I appreciate your work. Hope all is well and happy new year

Hi Trevon,
I wanted to take a second and thank you again for everything you did for us here in Washington!!! I wanted to share with you what happened yesterday to me. I was helping my sister work at the local bridal show here in town and during the fashion show they played the song you put on our DVD slideshow.... Anyways, the song started and the tears just kind of uncontrollably welled up!!! I had no idea how much that song affected me. It was amazing! The first time I heard it I was watching our beautiful pictures you sent me. I had to go home and immediately watch the slideshow THREE TIMES last night. I have yet to watch it without crying. All happy tears! My marriage to Kyle is fantastic and I love him more and more everyday. I will forever be so grateful for the amazing pictures you took of us on our special day!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

webcam up and sometimes running

Created a link to the right for my webcam aimed out the window overlooking Flathead Lake. Not online unless my laptop is at home.... but if you get lucky, you might see something interesting.
